Rutland Red

from £6.00

Hard Cow’s Cheese
Producer: Long Clawson Dairy
Region: Leicestershire

Rutland Red is buttered and traditionally cloth-bound and aged for a minimum of 6 months. It’s the only pasteurised Red Leicester produced in the county of Leicestershire by Long Clawson Dairy.

A cheese that stands out on any cheese board, not only for its bright, natural red colouring, but also for its distinctive bold taste – nutty, caramel savouriness with a flaky texture.

Tŷ Caws recommends: Serve with a medium to full-bodied red wine such as a Bordeaux or aged Rioja. If you prefer white, try a full-bodied Chardonnay such as a white Burgundy.
