Nutty, sweet, smooth
Produced at the foot of the Säntis mountain near Appenzell in Switzerland, Stärnächäs has a nutty, almost sweet flavour.
Similar to, but not as sweet as a Gruyère. Aged for 8 months, its smooth texture provides a pleasant eating experience. In fact, Stärnächäs gets its name from the ‘heavenly pleasure’ it provides. Winner of Supreme Champion at the International Cheese Awards.
